Cavaliers and Bucks regular season game recap

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost against the Milwaukee Bucks 112-129 away at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, WI during Monday evening’s matchup. All players on the Cavaliers were active for the game. Simultaneously, Everyone was active for the Bucks. With the defeat, the Cavaliers fall to 1-2 in the regular season and to 0-1 vs. the Bucks in the series.

For the Cavaliers, Kevin Love scored 15 points in 33:07, shooting 5/12 (41.7%) from the field. In addition to points, Love also pulled down an admirable team-high 16 rebounds. Tristan Thompson added 17 points, going 8/18 (44.4%) from the field in 33:25. In addition to his points, Thompson also added a decent 13 rebounds and had a team-high 4 assists. Collin Sexton had a team-high 18 points in 30:17, going 8/15 (53.3%) from the field. Jordan Clarkson added 17 points in 25:16, shooting 6/13 (46.2%) from the field. 2nd Quarter

The 2nd Quarter started with the Cavaliers having trouble getting things going, going 5/14 from the field and 1/6 from deep in the first half of the quarter for a total of 11 points. Small Forward Cedi Osman was among those who had a sluggish start to the quarter, shooting 0/1 from the field and 0/1 from three for no points. Point Guard Darius Garland recorded 3 points. On the other hand, the Bucks had no issues at the start of the quarter, making 6/12 from the field and 2/3 from the three point mark for a total of 17 points. Pat Connaughton was a major player in this good start for the Bucks as he gained 11 points on 4/4 shooting (2/2 from three). Connaughton also had 2 rebounds in addition to his points.

Following the sluggish start to the 2nd Quarter, the Cavaliers continued to show more of the same to round off the period, recording 10 points while going 4/10 from the field and 1/5 from the three point mark. 3rd Quarter

The Cavaliers had trouble getting things going at the beginning of the 3rd Quarter, shooting 4/11 from the field and 1/4 from three in the first half of the quarter for a total of 10 points. Point Guard Darius Garland was one player who struggled starting the quarter, shooting 1/4 from the field and 0/2 from three for 2 points. Power Forward Kevin Love gained 5 points and managed to pull down 3 rebounds. The Bucks struggled as well in the first half of the quarter, shooting 5/12 from the field and 2/7 from the three point mark for a total of 14 points. Small Forward Khris Middleton was among those on the Bucks who had a slow start to the quarter, shooting 0/1 from the field and 0/0 from the three point mark for no points. Shooting Guard Wesley Matthews boasted 8 points and got 1 steal.

Despite the dismal start to the 3rd Quarter, the Cavaliers shot much better to round out the period, adding 18 points while going 5/11 from the field and 3/6 from deep. Center Tristan Thompson was an important player in this reasonable start as he added 6 points on 3/3 shooting (0/0 from deep). Thompson also had 3 rebounds in addition to his points. Following the convincing start to the 4th Quarter, the Cavaliers continued to shoot well to wrap up the quarter, gaining 17 points while going 7/14 from the field and 1/3 from deep. The Bucks also faced no issues while finishing out the period, boasting 22 points on 8/10 shooting (4/6 from three). The Cavaliers lost against the Bucks 112-129. Khris Middleton was the biggest contributor of the quarter, scoring 10 points. On the Cavaliers, Jordan Clarkson scored 9 points.
