The Cleveland Cavaliers lost against the Miami Heat 105-124 away at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, FL during Saturday night’s affair. Kevin Love was out for the Cavaliers. Simultaneously, Tyler Herro was out for the Heat. With the defeat, the Cavaliers drop to 15-41 in the regular season and to 0-3 versus the Heat in the series.

For the Cavaliers, Cedi Osman got a team-high 19 points, going 6/15 (40.0%) from the field in 37:48. In addition to his points, Osman also pulled down 7 rebounds and got 7 assists. Collin Sexton got 17 points, although he struggled scoring from the field, scoring 5/15 (33.3%) from the field and 3/7 (42.9%) from three in 33:24. In addition to his points, Sexton also passed out a team-high 9 assists. Dante Exum recorded 14 points in 25:19, shooting 3/6 (50.0%) from the field and 3/5 (60.0%) from the three point line. In addition, Exum also managed to pull down a team-high 8 rebounds. Additional significant contributions included Larry Nance Jr. (who managed to grab 7 rebounds),Andre Drummond (who managed to grab 6 rebounds),Darius Garland (who made 5 assists), and Tristan Thompson (who had 16 points and pulled down 7 rebounds).

On the Heat, Bam Adebayo scored 15 points in 25:34, scoring 7/9 (77.8%) from the field. In addition to points, Adebayo also passed out a team-high 9 assists. Kendrick Nunn scored a team-high 24 points in 34:44, scoring 7/12 (58.3%) from the field and 4/7 (57.1%) from the three point line. In addition, Nunn also made 8 assists. Udonis Haslem gained 0 points in 9:48, albeit he struggled with his shot, shooting 0/5 (0.0%) from the field. Haslem also had a team-high 5 rebounds. Additional critical contributors included Derrick Jones Jr. (who swiped 4 steals and passed out 4 assists),Kelly Olynyk (who had 17 points),Duncan Robinson (who added 19 points), Goran Dragic (who gained 16 points and dished 4 assists), and Jae Crowder (who grabbed 5 steals).

1st Quarter

The 1st Quarter started off with a rapid shootout as the Cavaliers went 8/10 from the field and 2/3 from three in the first half of the quarter for a total of 20 points. Small Forward Cedi Osman was a key contributor in this hot start as he gained 7 points on 2/3 shooting (1/1 from three). Osman also passed out 1 assist in addition to points. Shooting Guard Collin Sexton was also a critical contributor in the beginning of the quarter, had 7 points while shooting 3/3 (1/1 from the three point mark).Sexton also got 2 assists. The Heat had little trouble as well in the beginning, making 9/11 from the field and 4/6 from deep for a total of 22 points. Shooting Guard Duncan Robinson was a crucial contributor in this great start for the Heat as he boasted 8 points on 3/4 shooting (2/3 from three). In addition to points, Robinson also had 1 assist. Center Bam Adebayo got 6 points and dished 3 assists. Point Guard Kendrick Nunn had 5 points, added 2 assists, and managed to grab 1 rebound.

Following the sound start to the 1st Quarter, the Cavaliers continued the effort to round off the quarter, recording 12 points while going 4/8 from the field and 1/3 from the three point mark. The Heat also faced no issues while closing up the period, scoring 16 points on 6/11 shooting (3/7 from the three point mark). The 1st Quarter ended with the Cavaliers down by 6 points (32-38). Kelly Olynyk was the biggest contributor of the quarter, scoring 11 points. On the Cavaliers, Cedi Osman scored 10 points.

2nd Quarter

The 2nd Quarter opened with the Cavaliers having trouble getting things going, recording 2/9 from the field and 1/2 from the three point mark in the first half of the quarter for a total of 9 points. Small Forward Cedi Osman was included in those who struggled starting the quarter, shooting 0/1 from the field and 0/0 from three for no points. Dante Exum recorded 7 points, made 1 block, and managed to pull down 1 rebound. Conversely, the Heat had no issues in the beginning, making 6/8 from the field and 1/3 from three for a total of 15 points. Shooting Guard Duncan Robinson was a major player in this great start for the Heat as he gained 5 points on 2/2 shooting (1/1 from three). Additionally, Robinson also managed to pull down 1 rebound.

After the dismal start to the 2nd Quarter, the Cavaliers continued to show more of the same to round off the period, recording 11 points while going 5/12 from the field and 0/3 from three. The Heat, simultaneously, faced no issues while closing out the period, boasting 29 points on 9/10 shooting (4/5 from the three point mark). The 2nd Quarter finished with the Cavaliers down by 30 points (52-82). Derrick Jones Jr. was the largest contributor of the quarter, scoring 8 points. On the Cavaliers, Dante Exum scored 7 points.

3rd Quarter

Down by 30, the Cavaliers remained committed as they shot 6/9 from the field and 3/6 from three in the first half of the quarter for a total of 15 points. Power Forward Larry Nance Jr. was a vital contributor in this good start as he gained 4 points on 2/4 shooting (0/2 from the three point mark). Nance Jr. also pulled down 2 rebounds. The Heat had no issues in similar fashion in the first half of the quarter, making 4/7 from the field and 1/2 from deep for a total of 9 points. Point Guard Kendrick Nunn was a critical contributor in this good start for the Heat as he boasted 4 points on 2/2 shooting (0/0 from the three point mark).

Despite the dependable start to the 3rd Quarter, the Cavaliers had trouble shooting to wrap up the period, gaining 11 points while going 3/11 from the field and 1/5 from three. The Heat also had issues closing out the period, gaining 15 points on 4/9 shooting (2/6 from the three point mark). The 3rd Quarter closed with the Cavaliers down by 28 points (78-106). Collin Sexton was the main contributor of the quarter, scoring 10 points. On the Heat, Goran Dragic scored 8 points.

4th Quarter

The Cavaliers had trouble getting things going at the start of the 4th Quarter, scoring 4/10 from the field and 2/7 from deep in the first half of the quarter for a total of 12 points. Shooting Guard Collin Sexton was one of the players who had a sluggish start to the quarter, shooting 0/3 from the field and 0/2 from three for no points. Small Forward Cedi Osman added 3 points, got 3 assists, and added 3 rebounds. Point Guard Darius Garland added 3 points. Ante Zizic gained 3 points. The Heat had issues as well in the first half of the quarter, scoring 3/12 from the field and 1/5 from three for a total of 7 points. Shooting Guard Duncan Robinson was one player on the Heat who floundered at the beginning of the quarter, shooting 0/2 from the field and 0/2 from three for no points. Jae Crowder had 5 points and had 2 steals.

Despite the dismal start to the 4th Quarter, the Cavaliers shot much better to round off the quarter, gaining 15 points while going 6/10 from the field and 3/7 from the three point mark. The Heat, concurrently, had issues closing up the period, scoring 11 points on 4/11 shooting (3/6 from three). The Cavaliers lost against the Heat 105-124. Cedi Osman was the largest contributor of the quarter, scoring 8 points. On the Heat, Kendrick Nunn scored 6 points.
